grossberger vs. !glrnaap

What if “starseedtransmission” was only half the signal? What if the message !glrnaap received (via a powerful blast of energy whilst in a mushroom induced trance in Allerton State Park) had been filtered somehow as it passed through the wormhole? Or, perhaps like in the movie “Contact” the codex or key to deciphering the message was traveling along with the original signal but at a different frequency? In such an alternate reality maybe !glrnaap, having heard the yin and the yang, would have been sustained in their mission and gone on to conquer the multiverse!!! And along the way, would have traveled back in time to share the full vision with Philip K. Dick, Timothy Leary, and others. Grossberger reaches into his archives and submits to you now his conception of how “starseedtransmission” might have turned out…

In 1992, !glrnaap (aka Jim Little and Dave Gill) went into the Experimental Audio Studio in Chicago to record theme music for their pan-sexual puppet rock opera, "starseedtransmission." Shortly after laying down their analog ambient opus, Jim and Dave went their separate ways. Since then, the rock opera went unperformed, and the soundtrack languished on a cassette tape marred by hiss from the mastering. After more than 16 years, "starseedtransmission" now sees the light of day in it's newly re-mastered and edited edition!
